Currently working on a complete rewrite... the big difference with the previous version is that it generates "canonic" paths instead of zillions of sub-pixel segments. So far is only does simple triangles (sawtooth) but it will quickly get more variants.

Looks pretty cool ofnuts. Now I got to look up the word canonic (and I know it doesn't have anything to do with Ubuntu; lol). :)

Actually a creeping gallicism. I meant "canonical" (with a lower case "c") :)

Broken down to it's most essential elements. OK; that makes sense. lol

Canonical law for instance. Should have known this. :)

And, you just ninja'd me; now I gotta find out what gallicism means. lol

Ofnuts, that will be a great improvement! :clap

My elderly computer feels feeble and abused every time I run slinky. :(

The original Slinky isn't any worse than a good Gaussian blur :)

@lyle,
The English language is full of gallicisms.
After all it is a mixture of French and Saxon.
Gerard.

Hey Gerard. I'm part German, French, Dutch, Chippewa (a North American Indian tribe between the U.S. and Canada; lot's of Chippewa in Wisconsin where my Dad's from), Korean, and a pinch of Chinese. I only know how to speak and think in English. What's wrong with this picture? lol

:)

Nothing lyle.
I'm a mixture myself Dutch Indonesian French and maybe some more.
My wife is part Negro Chinese and Dutch.
So my children are quite a mix.
After all we all belong to the human race and what your forebears were is irrelevant.
It's just what kind of person you are yourself.
I was fortunate to grow up bilingual which imo makes it easy to learn other languages.
Gerard.

I agree with you (we all are part of the human race that is). Also agree with you that it's what type of person you are not what your pedigree is that matters. Take care Gerard. :)

Some more progress... does square and triangle waves. The fun starts when you mix the resulting paths...
