Good afternoon,

I have never used Gimp before but want to use it to combine some photos into a panoramic view. For that, I have been attempting to download the pandora plugin from http://registry.gimp.org/node/131 onto my MacBook Pro. I have X11.

Whenever I've clicked the link to download that plugin, I get as far as getting it into my download window. From there, I try to click on it or drag it to a number of friggin' folders but nothing happens. When I click on it, it says that it needs to be opened with an application. When I request that it open with Gimp, I receive an error code. When I try to open it in a new folder I've created on my desktop, it won't be me the option to actually select that location (remains greyed out).

I am not a techie person so any advise in the most straight-forward, no assumptions made, way would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can you right-click on the link and Save Link As? You need to save it into your .gimp-2.6 / scripts folder.

BTW, the .scm extension means it is to be put into the scripts folder. If you put it into your plug-ins folder, it won't work.

Don't know mac's at all, but Oregonians advice is sound, even a mac should have a default download folder or even 'heaven forbid' save to the desktop as you are trying.

If script from the plugin repo is a problem try direct from the authors site.

pandora help for quite simple stichting for more complex work you should use Hugin or Emblend
(that are not a plugin but other sw )

Theres a couple of mac tutorials here for that type of thing...I've tried to make them as simple as I can.

/Users/yourhomefolder/Library/Application Support/Gimp/scripts
