Is there any way to get Gimp to run SWF files from the USER\.gimp-2.6\splashes folder?

I hear that PC, it is simple enough to try it.I could just place a SWF file in there all by it's lonesome, and see if it runs on Gimp start.
I will give it a try.

On the other hand i do have a program that converts SWF to GIF so i could just build the flash and convert it.

I really wanted to see if i could get SWF to run though because it supports audio effects. :)

Maybe will works if you added that exe (from SWFtools, required by the JamesH script)
But i am not sure and even if it works i fear will start animation too late
