Cool video.

But it made me realize that:
A) I need a new computer - it was pegged at 100% CPU utilization
B) I need to live someplace where I can get a higher bandwidth connection

I was intrigued with the various animation effects. Many of them can be done with Gimp and GAP combined. Here is one I did using Gimp and GAP to look similar to the sine wave motion of the multiple colored pencils in the video:
