I completely forgot about G'MIC's B/W Sketch (slow as molassis; it does help skip a few steps though so overall around the same amount of time). Used it instead of the Paint/Isophotes step. Believe it's the better solution, but you all can decide. Trying to keep with just using G'MIC instead of Plastic Wrap Script-fu too and believe I succeeded.

beautiful image and for sure plastic warp may be emulated..oh well you already did i was thinking to use a dup on top with gradient normalization maybe smoothed in lighten only mode i wonder how yoy did ..but looks cool
