i could not resist the post it even if all the littlele colored circles distract from what was my initial goal that was experiment another kind of digital painting effect

here without the distraction from psychedelic circles may be more more clear what i wish to achieve, at full size you may see the brush-strokes especially on girl skin

not sure if you have seen some old hand colored photo and postcard, i was trying to emulate that style of brushing

if there is interest i may include short tutorial i have still the xcf (with all gmic setting embedded in the layer names) and the process is simple ,(but use also 1 very slow filter twice so require a bit of patience )

I was trying also as possible new filter but the manual process has a big advantage you may add the pwer to the layermask

to give a idea this basically was used as new greyscale

But with this added highlight ( so this below used in Lighten Only Mode to clean eyes face hand and other main highlight )Image
