Ok, now I have to admit for now I am working in a virtual photography medium (hoping to go to real photography this coming year). I stage pictures with props and poses, though I prefer onsight locations in amazing places and then take those pictures and clean them up, some I try to make as realistic as I can or to look as much like an actual painting as I can. Looking at all of them now, I can see the growth of what I've done..where I was and what I am doing now. I must admit..I can't draw a straight line with a ruler, but when I really get that shot I like, I'll spend hours working on it.
I..like my pictures to have emotion. I recently did a set, I realized at after posting the emotion was wrong but then...it touched someone else so I realized where it wasn't what I was intending it still had an effect on others.

It's hard to know exactly what to post, looking through the threads, my own all seem so...immature...but here's a few examples...

I'm still yet exploring and settling into a "style"...recently I have been working more with reflections....I tend to like darker subtle colorings, I don't work in bold or pastel. Earthtones or blacks and greys. I can look at the picture for days, weeks (I pile them up in a folder) then one day it "speaks" to me..and I can then begin to work on it. Usually I'll find even more things I wish to do to it..after I upload it thinking it finished...and want to go back and work on it some more.

I love this. It sounds like you really love photography and are very excited to get more involved with it. Your "virtual photography medium" is clearly teaching you a lot about composition and post processing. Good for you!

Thanks so much for sharing. I'll be connecting to you on Flickr.

Nice to have you here and welcome to Gimp Chat. :)
I would by no means call your work immature. Very nice work in my opinion.

Your work is quite lovely, I hope you do not abandon it for real photography! You can do both, and that would be the best of both worlds.
