my first 3d fractal i used the parameters from
Image
by andrea1981g http://andrea1981g.deviantart.com/art/g ... -279698948 i just try to explore

With Mandelburb I tried to navigate in that formula...i like a lot the 3d navigator ,it isreally fun but the the rendering is a pain i have 8gb ram still took more then 1 hour !
In gimp i used Gegl c2g on 2 duplicates, the first above in value mode, the second on top in multiply mode ( about 40 opacity)
I must upload on deviantart but upload there is such a pain (i HATE have to fill that form) and i want i show first here.. (i will correct the link at soon i put on da but too impatient now

Now that does look way too cool PC. I hate to have my computer tied up to do these though so I don't have patience like you. Worth the wait no doubt. :)

Apparently the double core and the ram are good for that i mean i can't see any minimum speed improvement now that i have 8gb ram respect to the 4 of before..except that i may run more heavy sw simultaneusly

So in the last 3h waiting the render i polished and organized a lot of photo with xnview , i even load gimp twice for more accurate edit and i used a lot firefox

the fan really dislike such habit but for the rest seems not problem except that i am already chaotic and run more things simultaneusly make me even more chaotic and easy to astray...

this next is 3600x 2700 i have some cool postwork in mind ..uff still 1h to go..uff

Fantastic, PC! It looks sort of like an organic alien machine!

more wide

coming soon the Doctor Who : as you may see below he partially fix the mimetic system of the TARDIS (from long blocked on the shape of a old English phone box ) to enter unnoticed in a 4D fractal multiverse in search of the lab of the crazy son of the Cyberman

here 2 attempt to disguise the TARDIS

Image

obviously also the Doctor Who also is disguised by the mimetic field as a hooking greenish pyramid

Wow! Impressive renders!

The last time I did anything with Mandelbulb I got my processor cooked up to 100C. Unlike many programs, Mandelbulb seems to make good use of threading.
