I been using GiMP regularly for abt a year now..... I have used it to work on a few website design proposals and some graphic designs. I been bit by the photography bug also so I been using GiMP for my photo enhancements as well. I used to use photoshop on a limited basis for years (cut my teeth on photoimpact) until a few years ago I was watching one of those cold case files on tv and what got me looking into GiMP was that the police needed a program to overlay photos to match up a skeleton head to a photo of the deceased and the police did not want to spend like $600 for a program like photoshop. One of the forensic technician looked online and found GiMP and it worked. I still consider myself a novice but in the near future I hope to get better. I am in my spare time learning to code on my own so hopefully I will be able to contribute.
