I've got way too many script that I have added mixed in with the original ones. Can anyone direct me to a listing of the ones included in the original package for 2.6.11?

Same thing for brushes. Just need the lists.

Drac wouldn't the original list be in your
Windows XP
C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\scripts

and the ones you added would be in:

C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\.gimp-2.0\scripts

and the same with brushes, plug-ins etc?

I have kept my default directories "pure", except the brushes one, but I saved the original installation in a separate directory. These are my directory listings as text files. Hope this helps.

Man, oh man...you're my hero this week. Thanks a bunch.

When I first started out in Gimp I never knew about the user folder cuz I have everything on my F drive. My C drive is pretty much full so I try not to put anything on it if I don't have to. Once I became aware of the problem, I made some more room on my C drive and I've been putting everything in my user folder since. I can ultimately save my user stuff to a flash drive once I get them sorted and create the path in my preferences so I can save room on my C drive.

You can put extra brushes, scripts, patterns, etc. anywhere and then tell GIMP where they are.

Here's a combined screen shot from my Edit>Preferences>Folders. I have all of my extra GIMP stuff and work on my e: drive, including several test folders so I can test brushes, scripts, etc. before keeping them or discarding them. It's a lot easier if they are in a separate folder by themselves - don't have to hunt for them in the crowded main folders.



(The hyphen and space [- ] in the folder names keeps them at the top of the folder list so they are easier to find.)

I just didn't know any of that way back when. I'm using GURM and I have the same "Gimp Resources" folder on my F drive as well. I have most of them sorted out, organized and in the right folders now (user or resource) except for the ones I downloaded a while back. Just trying to clean up the stragglers. Thanks again.

Would you mind zipping up the three Galaxy Brushes for me. One of the scripts needs it and those brushes were some of the ones I got rid of a few months ago.

I would like to add that PC has a few zips at Deviant Art of the default Gimp-2.6, brushes, plug-ins, and scripts.
Three different zip files of course.

PC can tell you where to grab them.I keep a spare of each laying around just in case.
