Eluded to this before, but created an Easter Egg AOP for DAP with a heck of a lot of nuances using various G'MIC/GIMP blends. I then created this concoction and added some additional bleeds and shading using various GIMP/G'MIC blends so I do consider that enough GIMP is involved to post it under the GIMP Art thread. If I'm wrong, then oh well. lol

But can you make me some virtual deviled eggs from these 2-ton? lol

Thanks for the comments. Made a lot of tweaks to the AOP and think I'm done with it now. ;)

:)

Lyle i grabbed your AOP file thanks! :)
I can never get enough of these. Can this one be used in the newest version? I noticed many of the free version ones do not work in the commercial version.Too old perhaps?
And in my opinion if you ran your image through Gimp to Shellout and back and saved the image i would call it Gimp Art. :lol

I create all my AOPs using the old (32-bit) DAP so it would be compatible with both old and new Rod. Oscar really did do a good job creating the new installer interface (for both old and new). Still, though I did do a better job with dimensionality with the last release by added some side shading, I still find that some addition tricks for shading in GIMP make the eggs more realistic, but lots of work unfortunately. I like using the soft focus G'MIC preset that I concocted a while back (tweak the sliders to taste) to help too. :)

Below are a few recent entries using the updated preset:

Experimenting with using some G'MIC presets (local orientation) set to saturation to add speckling effects to make the eggs look more realistic. Hopefully you all are now almost fooled, uh, er, convinced these are real eggs. lol

DAP was never freeware but it was based on Arcimbolder which is. Don't believe the Easter Egg version would work with it though but worth a shot. lol
