I think you need to darken the background, that way the foreground becomes the primary focus.

Yes, ZWard, I agree. There is no contrast, foreground and background is the same color value.
You could also put more light in behind the head in your foreground man to bring him forward.
Do you still have your xcf, if so add a few layers below you foreground and mess around with some of the scripts like wind, noise, etc

I was thinking adding darker colors fading out from the head, however I like your idea better molly!

wait what do you mean by "light behind the head"
i used a stock instead of a render
how would i do that
i tried overlay but didn't really work as good
