That didn't work Partha.I believe it is the difference in dll files.
That's Okay.
It will look for Gimp-2.8 later i assume so i can wait. :)
Nothing but a drag and drop from the Delaboratory window to Gimps window anyways i believe.

Rod,

What was the error message? The way delaboratory communication is designed, it looks for gimp-2.7.exe and hands off a tiff file created in the tmp directory.

I created a copy of the gimp-2.6.exe file to the desktop and renamed it gimp-2.7.exe
Then i placed it in the gimp-2.0\bin folder with the gimp-2.6.exe file
I tested the gimp-2.7.exe file and it worked and opened Gimp-2.6.12 (so far so good)

I then opened Delab and a test image.
Next i tried to send to Gimp and got this error...

This means that you have another libintl-8.dll in your path. The one from mingw was updated and so I updated my setup and don't have this issue any more. Try putting the libintll-8.dll from gtk or from my gimp installation into your gimp/bin directory and see if that works.

Guess i better update my compile environment too then. Where did you grab the new installer for MinGW from? :)
I grabbed this one - http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/files/

I get the same error still Partha.
I probably have just too many of this same dll file all over my computer.
I am currently doing a file search of C and found 15 so far. :)
7 of which are in program files.

Not just the mingw files which are fairly constant. I updated my compiler and all the dependencies. Takes awhile. :)

As for the mulitple DLLs, I am using the latest, so it should work for others. Just rename all the ones in Window's PATH to something else except for the one from my build or use the one in your gtk/bin directory. Keep the ones in your environment away from the Window's PATH.

If you are curious what's new in delaboratory - please try unstable development version 0.7.1. Partha just created Windows binaries for your pleasure.

New UI gives you "opacity", "blend mode" and "channels" in same window as curve editor, mixer editor or levels editor.

Fill layer can be used to blend image with given color, for instance in overlay or screen mode.

Tone layer can be used for kind of "split toning" type of postprocessing. Reduce opacity to mix it with original.

Instead unsharp mask there is now "sharpen" and "local contrast". There is also "high pass" which uses original layer as a source. Just make sure you use "sharpen" and "high pass" when zoomed (full view will not be good).

Use gaussian blur to blur each channel (for instance AB in LAB), use gaussian blur single to blur each channel with one specific channel - perfect way to fix highlights (blur green channel in overlay invert for instance).

Try to play with CMYK curves and CMYK levels. For a good start:

1) load RAW
2) click "CMYK" in conversions
3) click "levels"
4) open levels UI
5) click "auto levels"

...to see what I mean

the final 0.8 version will have simpler UI, for instance instead all these steps above you would just click "CMYK auto levels" button
