● Gradient doesn't really work and neither does:
[border=red]text[/border] [border=blue,3]text[/border] [border=green,1,dotted]text[/border]

● font color gold, goldenrod,(without being orangy or brown) shows better on the page then the yellows.

● Would be nice to have some BBCode features like these.

● Okay I was not using the gradient tool properly. My fault. I see you have to choose the Pre Selected Colors or the others. It sure freaked me out when it took me to another opened tab.
● I can just type in gold for color myself because it has more of a yellowish look then the brownish one you posted.

Thanks Rod! :)
But it would be nice to have some of the other bbcodes. Just suggesting and hoping for it.

You can already do gradient colored text.

Edit:

Oh; see you already figured it out. I tend to not read through threads like I should since I'm lazy. lol

:)

I discovered this BBCode that looks cool and works on here.
If the webpage has a different theme background color then the text will appear white and then black.
The tags are [/fade].

Code:
[fade]Gimp is great ![/fade]

Gimp is great !

Greetings,

I went ahead and added in an icon for fade but many other specialty BBcodes, such as glow, drop shadow and such are browser specific so those aren't supported. Gimp Chat uses a custom modification for BBcode so the actual codes may vary from what is listed on the phpBB3 website. Hovering your mouse over the BBcode icon will display a "How-to" in the box below the codes.

We actually have a posting policy in our Rules Section. While it is not strictly enforced, we do encourage members to avoid flashing text, weird color combos that are hard to read and other special effects, which can be very distracting and really doesn't add anything to a post.

Quote:
14. Please do NOT post using all capital letters. Using all caps is considered SHOUTING!! Also, please refrain from posting very large or very small text. Please stick with black text on the light background. Using other colors for your post text is very distracting and using light colors like yellow or pink for your message text makes it very difficult to read. Only use color to highlight certain areas of your post.

Hello.
Is it possible to resize an image with BBcode on this forum?

I tried with:
[img=200,80]http://image.jpg[/img]
or
[img=w,200]http://image.jpg[/img]
or
[img=50%]http://image.jpg[/img]

But it does not work.
Thank you.
