Here are two different versions of the same picture using the Pastell (sic) Art G'mic filter.

They are really nice. I prefer it without the canvas texture but that's a matter of taste.

Since you mentioned it, here's one without the canvas or the G'mic Black & White/Hough Sketch.

I'm not sure which one of the three I posted I like better.

yes i too like mostly the top one

All are nice but the structure in the 2nd, the canvas like cross-hatch pattern is a bit too obvious,
while in the 3rd a little more texture would add some depth
