I am now a live user of Fedora 16 and it's running smooth as silk. When 17 comes out I will be making a full installation. I now consider myself entitled to use a penguin as my avatar. The default wallpaper is stunning and the gnome desktop is just what the doctor ordered. :pengy

That's good news. I'm hoping all my fractal programs and Page Plus will run smoothly with Wine, then I might get rid of Windows entirely.

maybe
but i use Xnview and is one of my favorite tool.
here the bad new is that the linux version of xnview really sucks if confronted with the Win one,
BUT the good new is that the Windows version of xnview run very well with wine and support perfectly most of the PS plugin , even in linux

That's a sweeping statement. There is also a XNviewMP
As with anything, it is 'what you use it for'. Remember it is still 'beta', but as with much of linux beta can last a very long time and at the moment XnViewMP is very usable, a good lightweight alternative to say, gwenview and similar that tend to take over your computer. It does not support PS plugins but then I can not think of any linux applications that do.

If you have to have XNview for PS plugins, then by all means install WINE and Windows XNview and if you need access from Gimp, RobA's Shell-out plugin.
