Mike at DPR shared this with us there so I thought I would share the link here. Place it under GIMP resources since fonts can be considered a resource for GIMP imo. :)

A Lot of usefull fonts there, if only GURN could be modified for fonts to replace the script option.hmm

Took the above result and ran it through some G'MIC presets to create this capcha; don't think an online robot will be able to read it. :)

lol; that's fine Graechan; I'm not too big a font guy, but when I do see unique fonts like monotone, I do install them (like also ofnut's link to the machine fonts awhile back). :)

the site doesn't work for me... the fonts are all displayed as standard serif.

I didn't install the zip yet :lol
It takes my PC 1 min 42 seconds to boot. That's with over 3,060 installed. :)
That's not bad considering.

All fonts in the windows/fonts folder will load on start of GIMP. That is if you use Windows.
You can also place fonts in the USER/.gimp-2.8/fonts folder

Other than that you can use Edit>Preferences>Folders>Fonts and create a path to any other folder of fonts you wish to use.
Restart GIMP and the fonts should be available.
