Many know the effect but very how avoid the seams a line of discontinuty that unluckyly is hard to spot in the preview but
pop out very clear in at image size

well first we may review, with Josh Summer that created the filter for MM , the basic how to

Josh is definitely king of Mathmap Droste for sure PC. I've actually ran across this chart before, but I tend to go School of Hard Knocks when I do these. Still, this time (had no problem downloading the hirez by the way) I've downloaded the chart and will print it out later (when I decide to fire up my color laser printer that is). Thanks for the info PC. :)

i got very cool images also with the "Bad" setting , but then other elements come in play ( as Hyperdroste or Show both Poles )...and luck sometimes there was a seam but ended where doesn't disturb

That is why a tut is handy..it show well was what Droste was supposed to do, then the principle may be adapted to be used for many other things (hopefully not men holding selfportait, or clocks and screaming faces...)

here i try 5 times on the same render
