I will do a more proper announce after some more test, anyway everything seems working well

Main differences from standard version

1) it doesn't force unistall of previous version and may run alongside gimp 2.6
2) include python support out of the box
3) may be used ALSO from external drive as a portable version
4) the gimp Help is preinstalled
5) the most useful extra plugin a script for commune use are preinstalled, list is long anyway the main are

GMIC
UFraw
MathMap
Liquid rescale
Resynthesizer
LensFun
GAP (the gimp animation package)
Filter factory Converter (aka UserFilter)
Gurm
Shell Out
Layer Effect

VERY IMPORTANT
do not start gimp clicking on gimp.exe but from "Demarrer_Gimp.bat, please see the screenshot

If somebody want help for testing please add a message below

TO DO

I did not make a installer yet , but is not so needed, just unzip where you wish
Where you wish except for 7 and Vista users Program files (and obviously Program files (x86)) DO NOT place there, any other place is fine, Program Files not because the lock placed from Windows there (that will prevent for example to save new brush from clipboard )

I would but I am not gonna have GAP in mine....ever. WAYYYYY tooo many scripts, unless GURM is already configured for it, but its nice to see that other builds are available.

Zward i forgot to wrote about one of the main peculiarity of this version:
EVERYTHING added, everything is not part of the gimp core is:

1) clearly separeted from the gimp core
2) may be activated/deactivated with a couple of click

so as example if you don't want GAP (and the other extra animation plugins ) you may

1) deactivate from preference just deleting the path , you will see in plugin for the animation folder
if you do this GAP will physically remain but will be no more in the menu, ( and in case you change your mind you may reactivate in the same way

Image

2)OR if you just don't want it you may just delete its folder
(from the preferences you will see where it is)

same for the most relevant extra plugins script etc
obviously i could not create a folder for each plugin, but i did for the main (gmic mathmap, userfilter, liquid rescale)
for the other you may just search them and delete manually, i categorized the subfolders to make search more easy

Lacertile
i am doing a last..stress test, i amade a bunch of photo today, the result are very heavy NEF (the Nikon RAW files), and i am using very intensive filter to edit them at original size 4000x3680

till now everything is going fine, i was able even to edit with gmic a 4000x3680 with 20 layers ,1 converted RAW for each layer giving the command to gmic to edit all layers, required a long time but was done

This also means that UFraw works as should

at soon i finish i zip , upload and post the link

High Photocomix,

You rock!

Will you also work on a 32 bit portable sometime soon? I am fond of your Gimp versions, simply because they include everything...and portable.

Stay well.

Uploading now, upload seems painfully slow, more sourceforge would take a big to process the file and make it available for download

Note that till now i could test only on my computer (and from all sort of pen and external drives) so as now i release for testing

@josephbupe

sure i think tomorrow, anyway not much later

@ Rod (or other admin ) please could you lock the topic ?
so i may open a fresh one at soon the file is on the server
