There is also Farris curves I've found it to be fun.

You can get some pretty neat results with the pencil02 brush.

Smaller brushes would be best i think.

My USA Ribbon brush

Draconians Pop Rivet brush gave a cool cheerio looking effect. :lol

Just need a spoon and bowl!

To be honest, my SpiroGraph script was born out of lack of research - I only stumbled upon Farris curves after I finished coding my implementation LOL. I would never bother otherwise.

Anyway, it's there now, so everyone has an alternative.

I did it in Cinema 4D, so I don't know if a step-by-step will be appropriate here. Anyway, there is plenty of Cloth tutorials out there for various 3D packages.

I've been working out a few ideas for stroking the SpiroGraph and Vector Path, here is an example:

Unfortunately, no. I've tried a few things but no go. Unless we come up with 3D engine for Gimp.
Now, I am streamlining the workflow for manual weave creation by using duplicate mirrored layers, masks etc. Will post more samples soon.
For Vector Path there will be animation option though - user will be able to generate n number of segments instead of a single path.
