this was fun, although hard to come up with something different, and it's not really very different...but the original wallpaper colors did sort of remind me of a burned out area.

I have this image of rust that I downloaded a while back and the more I looked at it a picture seemed to emerge from it. I could see a swampy area in the left foreground, and some light shades that looked like water, then through mid foreground to background I could see trees with yellow light spilling through. This is the rust image.

This is what I came up with by sitting back 3 feet from the screen trying to pick out an image.Image
If anyone is interested, feel free to download the rust to see what you can create with this image. It is fun.

I adore what you've done with this Molly. You've got a heck of an imagination. I've been sitting here looking at the rust trying to see something but seeing only rust. It's probably a good way to get inspiration when you can't think of anything to paint. Well I'm going to stare at it until I see something and hopefully come up with a new painting. :hi5

Thank you eris, I forgot all about this thread. I see something to take further in the one Rod posted, post #23). I might try it. I see some potential there.

Rod,
This isn't pirate treasure maps but if you like maps, Java Map Editor.

Be sure to checkout the plugins page.

I'm lousy at landscapes but this is more or less what I saw in Rod's treasure map.

That is very good Eris.

I am working with that same Rod-map. Just getting started with it so I will post the results if I like them, OR not. :teeth

Don't count on it... so far I seem to be making a mess but I will keep going back to it.

That is really nice alc. You did a great job with the colors.

I didn't add any new colors to mine cuz I wanted to keep just the sepias so here is my go at it. I will check into putting a frame around it in a while

Thank you Eris, I think the boat is too large but I already merged it so I am too lazy to go back and shrink it.
