What I would like to be able to do is take a sqwiggly line selection filled with a gradient and smear it across the canvass like shown in this photo screan shot.

I know I can just copy the selection to the clipboard and then use the pencil tool and draw the smear with the Ctrl and shift key to constrain it but eventually I want to add several lines together to create a height map of about 50 lines. Thats why it would be handy to have a script or something to do it automatically.

What I mean is if I draw a smear and then turn it into a straignt line and add several lines together I should be able to draw a complete human face and use it as a height map image. Drawing these contour selections with a face photo at a 45 degree angle as a template is what I want to try and do. Fill the contour selections with a gradient smear them across canvas make a strait line segment of the gradient stack them all next to each other and come out with a height map of a face.
