108 ° in Missouri, I'm 56 and this is the hottest I've seen it in a long time.

It's darn hot here in the UK too. Don't know the exact temperature but at least there's a nice breeze blowing.

17°C (a bit over 60°US :) ) in Vancouver, very pleasant. It only get really warm in July and Aug. The worst thing is when it gets hot, it gets hot real quick so the old body has no time to adjust.

I wish I could move to Alaska, or further north.

it's muggy, however

Not much different here right not Cecilia; 90°F. It suppose to hit 100°F sometime this afternoon though. Only good thing is our humidity is very low (for the South, that's a good thing). Sunday, it suppose to get up to 103°F, but then it suppose to cool down a bit to the upper 90s next week. We are in desperate need of rain; I'm worried for the folks who have corn crops here; they may indeed loose the whole crop (they, forever reason, don't water the crop despite being right next to the Alabama river (at least the crop that I'm aware of near where I live)). :)

Same stifling heat here. It's driven me inside to hug the air conditioner. We need rain really bad!

Due to our arthritis we started container gardening this year, so we have to water things every day. There is no rain in the forecast for the next week at least. Bummer.

We have raised garden beds, besides some flowers in pots...We have to water a lot. Our water comes from a pond, so we also need to conserve as much as possible. It's a balancing act, not to mention time consuming.

Same here. I have a small garden, with several tomato, pepper and cucumber plants and I'm having to water everyday now. I go ahead and water in the early morning and hope that carries me though the day. I haven't had any rain at my house in weeks.

I was really hoping for some nice heirloom tomatoes this year but this hot, dry weather is not helping matters. :hoh

Yesterday:

This was before the storm hit ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_2012_ ... an_derecho ) and dumped nearly golf-ball size hail onto my wife's already heat-battered tomato garden.

Finally a day in the mid 90s; no rain though here, but maybe will for us tomorrow. Sure beats 105ºF (which we got Sunday). lol

After more then 2 weeks, we got hit with a hard rain (not good, but I'll take the rain). Got 3 power outages that quickly recovered too; not sure what caused them. Still, with the rain, I guess the fire works tomorrow evening can proceed. Hope the rest of you experience some cool down rain too; the rain lowered the temperature over 14Fº and it's now 84ºF (got as high as 98ºF earlier today). :)
