Cruising with Tesla + Differential Engine free cut

I was not happy with the first image of my "Beyond the cosmic Egg " illustration
( viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4747 )

there i used directly a image from wikipedia but i hate that BG , so i cut it away

the first attempt with a different BG

But i prefer

Cruising with Tesla

A floating dependency of young Tesla Floating House seems a more adapt to my narrative

anyway to do that i did a render of the original wikipedia image and i am licensing with the same CC
(shortly : do whatever you wish but remember the credits )

I did in 2 flavors and 2 sizes:
original
original+graphic novel (that made the detail more clear )

Both at original size ( about 3800 x2800 )and rescaled at 800 width

here i post that edited with graphic novel and scaled down, (a complete pack soon on DA )

i hate made cutting but Babbage differential Engine well deserved ,and anyway i was needing one so i did

Almost by accident traced much more photos of the Differential Engine (i was looking for something else ) that for some reason were not in the wikipedia or in google list.

Well not going to cut another but i am collecting them , i wonder is there is a way to export links from Firefox bookmarks

But on the blog , on the same link he collected other very cool images, this HD is only from the 80 , weight 250Kg (as the ram in my narrative) price 81.000 $ ...but on the other hand offered 1GB storage !!

Looks like an IBM 3380 unit... Late 80's or early 90's actually. I has a string of them in the computing center I managed at the time (that computing center had about the processing power and storage of your random MP3 player...).

Now, when the family goes on vacation, its combined storage and processing power must be fairly close to that of the Los Alamos Laboratory in the late 80s
