Hi to everyone.
I have dowloaded gimp partha 2.8 that has solved a lot of bugs about jpeg files, but i have problems with file's preview...i think that is very
annoying for my eyes.
When i change gimp's theme i have this problem, there is a motion of my gimp's window.



With gimp default theme the problem is less but is still annoying


But i can't use everyday the gimp's theme dark. How can i resolve this bug?
Another problem is the gimp loading very slow, because everytime I run gimp it goes in search of all plugins installed.



Hope someone can help me because i'm constricted to use gimp 2.6.12

Hi Thanks for reporting. Unfortunately, for the first, unless you click on the thumbnail being created as you noticed, it seems to continuously update, on the 32-bit version. This does not happen on the 64-bit version. So, it is harder to track down.

The second is due to a change in behavior within Gimp itself. I suspect it was in response to another bug and so may vanish soon.

Hopefully you won't be deterred by these issues since 2.8.1 is still a solid release.

I consider these bugs to be minor and so have not spent time on them. I am working on other stuff.

In the meantime, if you cannot live with these 2 issues, you may have to go back to the 2.8.0 version where you will find the other bugs, or return to 2.6.x.

Congrats for your great work partha, i have downloaded your portable version of gimp from 2.7.*. What happened to gimp2.8 with all these bugs? The 2.7.* worked perfectly...

Well, upstream changes to some of the dependencies happened.

Anyway, hope to resolve these soon.
