I live right next to a cornfield...I can get corn really cheap (free) but...the downside is that it is field corn.

Corn was 15¢/ear back in May (Commisary; have to admit that it was a sell; lol) and now it's 35¢. Hate to see what it will be in September. :)

OK, I need to report back....I did grab some corn from across the street and tried out this method. I works perfectly, I love it!!!!

Back in my day we had to walk 5 miles through the snow to get corn. Now, having said that because that what old guys say, I can get to the point. My favorite way is to pull the husks back, remove the hair, add lots of butter and some cayenne pepper, put the husks back up, wrap them and grill them slowly over a mild fire, moving them around a lot.

well, this method is only for the microwave, so for grilled it would be back to basics I guess.
