Crap...I moved the original mcgimp folder the desktop and downloaded this new one. It's labeled gimp-1 app. I took it from downloads and put it in the applications...but it won't open. so I put it on my dock, still won't open. I need a mac experts help!!!
* I tried putting it on my desktop...nada. so I put it back on the dock until I figure something out. Both other gimps were no problem, not sure why I can't do this one. So not only can I NOT open the new McGimp, but I cannot open the first McGimp anymore either. Argh. I'm going to go fix dinner and maybe tonight I will trash both the mcgimps and start over and hopefully have more luck. This is the one thing that annoys me about osx...no transparency. In windows it is easy to see where everything is and how to move it, in OSX, more is hidden so I cannot improvise.
2-ton,
When you unzip it, if it finds another Gimp.app in the same location, Mac will name it to Gimp-1.app.
Here is what you do:
Move Gimp-1.app to /Applications.
Rename this Application to Gimp.app
Now double click on it.
I will wait online for you in case it does not work.
