I am sure that is not Cleome, Molly...I have grown that before. It looks to be from the allium family.
This link shows a pic, but also lists them as poisonous...what? I eat chives!

Roses from a bush we planted this year...of course I had to play around with my new mcgimp with it's new gmic...several filters and color enhancements, etc. to give it sort of an artsy, technicolor look. Happy to say that Partha's new McGimp seems to work just fine!

I went out this morning to pick some more of my tomatoes and this one was wedged right around the Stick holding up the plant. It weighs in at 1.5 lbs. It looks like two tomatoes but only has the one stem, just mis-shaped.

This is what you call a conjoined tomato. I did notice the double blossoms on my tomato plants and it is common with beef steak. Here is a little read up on it for those who are interested.

These winter bulbs appear each year to brighten up the overcast days.

They are not familiar in this part of the country but I was looking through plants of Australia and can't come up with anything that looks like that. What time of year does it bloom so I can narrow my search?

Hi Molly,

I too have looked around quite a bit to no avail. Even dragged the image into Google's Image Search but no luck.

It is in bloom now in winter (July-August) in Australia and will all be dead and gone by October awaiting the next winter's cold snap.

Any more information that I can provide? :)

So it is considered a winter flower in Austria. I was looking under Winter but didn't see anything. I will look some more.
