Yeah, it's almost cyberpunk. :)

you are a bit on fire at the moment :bigthup

did you make it the size it is now or worked on a bigger scale ?
im asking because you have those jagged edges
im wondering if its better to work on a bigger picture and resize it when its finished
my media-designer mate says he does it all the time

also, whats it with DPI ?
as far as i know a monitor has 72dpi, do you get a better result when you use a higher dpi in terms of jagged edges ?

Just had a thought. Maybe it's because it has to be reduced to 256 colours for saving as GIF.

The font is Angelic War and it's free from DaFont. The method is half metal (see Drac's tutes) and half wood (a brown layer and a desaturated plasma overlay layer with motion blur.) I also used alpha to selection, selection to path and stroke path)

what is the difference between ttf and otf fonts? Anyway, thanks for the info....I love your siggy!

*love this font...hard to figure out, though. There seem to be no caps but two slightly different lower cases.

i just watched this youtube tutorial by monsoonami (Chrome Beveled Text Effect), and hes smoothing the jagged lines he has with a G'Mic filter called 'Anisotropic smoothing' (under Enhancement), maybe thats something worth trying ?

2-Ton - TTF are true type fonts and when printed come out exactly the same as on your screen. OTF I know very little about but in graphics, as with Gimp, it doesn't matter because a graphic will always come out as on screen. If there's a choice, I always use TTF in case I want to use it in type.

Esper - I think the conversion to 256 colour is responsible and I never do that until I've finished the animation. That makes a lot of layers to smooth. That is a good filter though as is thin brush smoothing (which I use more often)
