This one suffered a bit in the conversion to 256 colour but I thought I'd share it anyway.

Very cool, Erisian. That font looks better with in your sig than just looking at it in dafont. Nice.

another great machine, Erisian !

soon you will be the Lord of Chaos-Machines and Michael Moorcock will be green with envy *lol*

i must say i would prefer to have the text flash on and off, like one of those (cliche american) neon signs from old films, because, tbh, it looks a bit as Wilber is exploding

could you perhaps put the flashing light behind Wilbur ?
i think that would be better

Thank you Lyle. The rivets are courtesy of Draconian's rivet brush.

Nice job on the wires with the gradient and the shadows. The devil in in the details and you seem to have that covered.

Thank you 2-ton and Drac. My only problem was making Wilber look like a light. The details are the most fun.

Peice of cake. Just give wilber a low opacity Voronoi lens layer or two and apply some of the gradient/lighting techniques you learned in the tut. You amy have to Overlay or Grain Merge the Wilber layer between the Lens layers and the gradient layers. Experiment around wiht the order like I did and I'm sure you will come up with something viable. I see another tut in the making. I would be glad to help with that if you are interested.

That would be really cool for the future Drac. Sadly, it's too late to save this one - I just found out I saved something over the xcf.

Do I need a plugin for that or does Gimp do it anyway?

Check out this APNG

APNG would allow you to save your animation in RGB mode
