Wow! That is really cool. Surely you didn't place all those manually?

Yep, too much time on my hands, Although I did use a grid and snap to grid to make it easier and a picture for reference.

Nicely done! :)

Did you create an animated brush from all the icons?

Nope took about a couple of hours.

Thanks for the response.

Rod and every one else, here is a rough guide to how it was made.

I download an image of Wilber into gimp, Rods brushes are all about 22*22px, so I ran a pixel blur set at 22*22px.
I then played with the colour filters mainly posterise to try and reduce the number of colours.
I then set up a grid so the intersection of each grid was in the middle of each pixelated square.
Then I chose a brush that best suited the colour, and painted each one seperately.
finally added a layer mask of a black & white version of my pixeled image to create the fade around the edges.

Submit that for a splash screen for 2.10 and we will all vote for it.

By the way, GnuTux, isn't the Smilies list missing the Cage tool icon?

I do believe it is. Thanks for bringing that to our attention.

Those icons haven't been updated lately. Oregonian originally put those icons together so I'll ask her about that.

ZWard117,

If someone could let me know how I upload the xcf file here, then I'll happily post.

Thanks for all the comments.

Right click your xcf and go down to where it says compress then go to the bottom of your post and see where it says file name, click browse and find your xcf and add your attachments there. then submit
