Anyone who would like to preview all the banners in rotation, follow these steps to switch to the rotation theme.

1) Click "User Control Panel" in the upper right just under the banner.
2) Select "Board Preferences" from the left menu.
3) Under "My board style" select "GimpChat2" in the dropdown.
4) Click submit.

This will switch you over to the test theme so you can preview the rotating banners. Just repeat steps and select GimpChat in the dropdown to return to the default site theme

The rotation works! All banners are very well integrated into the site, great work everyone!
But with the animated gif I have problems in Firefox. White detail is very noticeable in the hands shadow. With Rekonq looks better. Just in case here I upload one without hands shadow:

Ok, the new one is up. Looks great except for the background, which is color shifted. I'll bet you're using GIMP 2.8. Can you post one with a transparent background (where the blue gradient background is now) or just post the XCF?

Ok, the tweaked version of your banner is now active, AnMal. The paint brush hanging from the mouth of Wilber on the right is chopped off. If I had the original, I could have let it overhang the divider a little, but that's not really a big deal.

thank you, gnu tux! i don't mind wilber right's paintbrush being chopped off, but i have to admit i don't like the drop shadow of the paint drop being squeezed behind the divider though - is there anything i can do about that myself, i feel sorry for you doing all this work!

Should be fixed now. The paint drop and the shadow is now in front of the divider. :bigthup

Hi here is my effort, I tried to keep it simple with two original brushes and a logo. There is a one pixel erasure on the edges of all layers except for the background layer. The file is 930X200 px .png

I have the xcf but do not know how to upload it

EditThank You Molly, I was unaware that an XCF could be uploaded in this way. The png can easily be made more vibrant if required with the xcf

After reading Deblk's comment about brighter colours , I altered the layers sequence and used different layer modes

Random banners are now rotating.

We can let all of them rotate at this frequency for a bit and then maybe scale back the frequency and number of banners in rotation at one time.

I'll leave this thread open for any additional submissions.

:tyspin to everyone who submitted a banner.
