Esper - Since you like the hex pattern so much, I've attached the one I made that is seemless and tileable. This one was born from the perf metal segment.

I have several wallpapers that are nothing but some of my creations done in the past that are not too busy and lend themselves to being used as such like these two.

@AnMal

Tackar! I spend a lot of work to convey mood and atmosphere, so I'm glad it comes across!

@2-ton
I like her too, I actually have her on a mug. :)

@Draconian
I too like the golden sphere, a very clean and effective wallpaper. Good one!

Thanks Esper. The Sector Nine was a PS tutorial I saw somewhere that I adapted to Gimp, but the font is no longer available anywhere. I had to make all the letters one at a time from scratch.

AnMal/Griatch - thank you. I posted the original a long time ago when Lyle was posting some stuff that got me to making glass blocks. You know me and metal, had to make one or two. :hehe Here's the pattern I made it from. Just desaturate, add a color and make it your own.

I hear ya. Lyle's the real master at this stuff. Truth be told, I don't think I can even remember how to do it. I know one of the steps was a filter in GMIC I used but I would be hard pressed to recreate it now.

Seeing Drac's lovely wallpaper made me remember this one, I created a few of these mainly cause it was good fun for playing around with colour.

Have you used Rob A's tile-shuffle script? Your pattern reminded me of one I did using that script.

I started with a basic texture like this

Image

ran the tile-shuffle script to produce this

Image

added some grout, beveled the edges and ended up with this
