Now let's look at the logic of this. How old are you? How old would your grandparents be if they were alive? It's like saying "I live on bacon fat and I'm still alive but my grandparents breathed air and they are both dead."

I would love to roast my own. At the moment I generally use either filter coffee made in a cafetiere or Carte Noir - my favourite instant. I always keep a large jar of Sainsburys rich roast as backup though.

Did you know you can develop photographic film using coffee as one of the ingredients. It's know as caffenol: http://www.caffenol.org/

And this group on Flickr use all sorts, including green tea: http://www.flickr.com/groups/caffinol_p ... lace/pool/

It's something I'm intending to try.

Oh and I drink coffee and tea BUT NEVER iced tea ;)

I know that some artists use tea to stain their canvas before painting and that tannic acid is used in tanning leather. Goodness knows what it does to your insides! :hehe

Ah yes, the great #5! My son-in-law is a huge Earnhardt fan, in fact he resembles him.

"One More Cup Of Coffee"
by Bob Dylan

Your breath is sweet
Your eyes are like two jewels in the sky
Your back is straight your hair is smooth
On the pillow where you lie
But I don't sense affection
No gratitude or love
Your loyalty is not to me
But to the stars above

One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go.
To the valley below.

Your daddy he's an outlaw
And a wanderer by trade
He'll teach you how to pick and choose
And how to throw the blade
He oversees his kingdom
So no stranger does intrude
His voice it trembles as he calls out
For another plate of food.

One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go.
To the valley below.

Your sister sees the future
Like your mama and yourself
You've never learned to read or write
There's no books upon your shelf
And your pleasure knows no limits
Your voice is like a meadowlark
But your heart is like an ocean
Mysterious and dark.

One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go.
To the valley below.

Covered by Robert Plant, White Stripes

Nice mug rdgracer71 and it would look even nicer filled to the brim with the delicious bean juice. :clap :clap :jumpclap :hi5 :coolthup

Nice one Odin. I've recently been listening to a lot of Dylan and I found a copy of The Byrds Play Dylan in our local record shop. Well - I just couldn't resist it - a few pounds well spent!

I love the music from the 60's and early 70's.

French vanilla sounds like a dream. I have never been to Starbucks but I might give it a try now.

I am not that picky....Starbucks or any other coffee shop will do, as long as it's hot! My fav drink of choice is an Amaretto Capuccino, with skim milk (damn cholesterol). If no amaretto is available then I have them mix almond with cherry (which is amaretto, lol) and if that isn't available I will go with French Vanilla. I always get the small size because I don't like it when it gets cool and I don't drink it all that fast.

Yes, it is! And, yes, give it a try! I don't like super black coffee, but anything with flavoring is super good!
