 Post subject: gimp brushes??

Operating System: Windows
OS Version: XP - SP3
GIMP Experience: Beginner Level



i use to now how to do this but i have forgotten...i made a custom brush in gimp. but the brush will only paint in black..no other color works with it...what do i have to do to be able to use other colors with it...

Convert to grayscale mode (image>mode>grayscale) and ensure the image is flattened. (Image>flatten image) before saving as gbr.

thanks,,,it's weird that in order to get a brush to paint in color it has to be set to greyscale...it just sounds weird to me for some reason...maybe it's just me

The white corresponds to the transparent color and the levels of gray are used as value for the foreground color.
