We spent all day long at the hospital yesterday waiting for her debut, but at 8:58 PM last night she decided to make her grand entrance. Emphasis on the word "Grand" as she is our first great-grand-daughter.

Alayna Maria Ramirez was 7 pounds - 13 ounces, 19 1/2" long, beautiful blue eyes and lots of black hair. Her mother, Shauna, had an easy deliver (thanks to modern chemistry and epidurals) and is doing just fine. The ever-so-proud and I might add, blown away father, Jose, was present during the delivery and even had the pleasure of cutting the cord as he welcomed his new daughter into the world.

Man is it Great to be Great! Great Grandpa that is. Never thought I would live this long.

Thanks everyone. We are very proud of this glorious gift. More pictures to come as soon as they are forwarded to me. The mother's face when the baby is handed to her says it all. Can't wait to share.
