Invention of poutine? Discovery of maple syrup? Getting rid of the Brits? Getting rid of the French? Not being part of the US of A? Inquiring minds want to know!

What I'm Thankful for on Thanksgiving

1. On being Canadian. I'm fortunate to have been born and raised in British Columbia on west coast of Canada. As a Canadian, I am genuinely lucky that I live in a open, tolerant, compassionate society. Being Canadian is a true honor.
2. Family and Friends. All my family and friends are happy and living positive lives. I would not be where I am today without my family and friends.
3. Health. I'm a survivor because of, family, friends and our health care system. These days I am in excellent health.
4. Retired. I worked hard all my life, now I am happily and comfortably retired.
5. Work. To keep active, I still like to work sometimes whether it is volunteering or just helping someone out.
6. Humor. I like the lighter side of life. In this ever-changing World we live in its best to leave emotions behind and focus on the positive things that make a difference for everyone.

I wouldn't mind getting some awesome Canadian Ice Wine at the duty-free store.
