What a work...
I changed the alignment of all common gimp-plugins
from vertical to horizontal.
That does not affect the size of the preview.
The size of tehe preview can be changed by editing ~/.gimp-2.8/gtkrc

#
# Adjust the size of previews in plug-in dialogs:
#
style "gimp-large-preview"
{
  GimpPreview::size = 450
}

class "GimpPreview" style "gimp-large-preview"

enlargens the preview in almost any plugin to 450 pixels.
I included the 32 and 64 Bit plugins.

Most of the programs you've included are licensed such that the provider of the plug-in should also be supplying the source code, or providing a direct link to where it might be downloaded. Are you suggesting that some people aren't doing that? ;)

I have testetd it out, and 64Bit gimp is not faster than 32Bit gimp.
Yes, it uses just 2GB, but I never reached the 2GB border, and my Computer has
32GB RAM. I don't use GMic often, because it is very slow, even with 64Bit.

I made a video about GIMP 2.8 64-bit multitasking ability

www.youtube.com Video from : www.youtube.com

In that video I ran one Python script that creates 700+ layers,
and while it was running I used (on other images, of course) 2 other C plugins and 4 scripts.
I'm trying to do this trick with 32-bit version of GIMP and it simply crashes.
For me, that is enough evidence of 64-bit version advantage.

hmm. Don't know. The sources came from the latest git-source.
Anyway. Better removed.
