The first one reminds me of one of those late 60s horror movies. I kind of like it.

It was a tossup between a leech and a squid, Since this is a political year I went with the leech.

odinbc: i really like that first one, it has atmosphere :). this is the second time this week that someone proves to me that qbist isn't necessarily completely useless.

Not in Gimp right now. It's a random pattern generator based on a selected center pattern in the dialog.
I think it's, Filters → Render → Pattern → Qbist.
