No Ding Dongs either. Very angry I am but won't link to the news since the articles I've read are too political and beyond the scope of this site. Just angered that the comfort food that I cherished will be no more. :)

If they ever stop making Snickers, I'm buying a gun, no - wait... that's right, it looks like I may not be able to do that much longer either.

I live in Italy, and unfortunately not all of the typical american sweets :usflag have the fortune to be imported and merchandised in my country.
In effect, I never tasted the original and real twinkies, and apparently, based upon what you are telling us now, I won't ever have the opportunity to do it.
That's too bad, because those little cakes have every appearance of being very tasty.

I understand now, my wife just read it in the news. A box of twinkies are selling for between $100 and $1000 on Ebay. Looks like all isn't lost, lyle, as long as you're willing to pay.

I preferred dingdongs but the calories in everything hostess was ridiculous, as were their prices, the average person won't pay $1.50 for a 500 calorie fruit pie.

Twinkies? Zingers? Ding Dongs? Must be American. Snickers used to be called Marathon in the UK many many years ago. I've always wondered what Twinkies were.

Now ya know. :teeth
I preferred the ones with the chocolate around them. they were flat with cake and some filling in the inside.

My ex-Wife loved the snowballs; especially the pink ones. lol

I'm still a cupcake guy and also the Christmas cakes that would come out around this time. Use to eating them during this time a year. The a-holes that got rid of Hostess hopefully can't sleep at night. I'm still angry. lol

Oh well; maybe another company will start making them, but my fear is they won't be the same. :)

There are a lot of them in our local store. Since you're my pal you won't have to pay $100 for them on Ebay, I'll get them for you for $75.

Hope you enjoy them GMS. lol

Just as a side note, the Entec gas station had plenty of Dolly madison snacks but how long they last is anyone's guess. I don't know what will happen once the stocks are all gone. Man, I'm still angry. :)
