As much as I can't stand Yahoo I made a flickr account. Right now it has 200 of my fractals in it. I'm going to see what kind of response it gets.

The free account only has a limited number you can upload to GMS; just remember that. Still, I look forward to viewing your fractals after posting my response. :)

edit:

Some really great interpretations GMS. We have a lot of fractal explorers here at GC for sure. :)

Yeah, I know, it's 300 meg. That's what I meant by I'm going to see how it goes. If the response is good I might go the pay service. I have some room left, I'm at 11% capacity.

Yeah, I read the bandwidth part. I imagine a lot of people don't catch it. I think pro is like $7 a month.

I believe it's either $20 or $21 a year GMS. God forbid if it's $7/month (rediculous). I do pay $24/year ($2/month) for ImageShack since I've had years of images stored there and didn't wan't to loose all of them when they changed their policy (succurred me right in; lol). I can tolerate it but am not happy about it either. Anyway, at least I had 5 years of good (and free) storage with the Shack and hope they don't raise their rates. :)

i have both a flikr and da account
In my opnion Flickr is more for photography , even if you may found everything

Flickr free account are limited for size and number of images (max 200)

www.deviantart.com is more used for CG, free account have limitations but not for the number of images that may be included in the gallery :let say a pro account give much advantages but the free accounts have less limitations then correspondent on flickr

I've only looked at Photobucket briefly to search for stuff but I think Flickr is far bigger and it's easier to find plenty of what you are looking for. You can also use CC search to search flickr for creative commons material.

i don't use and seldom browse photobucket

both DA and flickr as example example allow images hot-link,(if not purposely disabled by the author ) that many others sides prevent in any way, that means that not only the file may be seen there, but that is possible also use the service as image host
(and with a DA pro account i have 10GB additional space for files i may want host and share but not in my gallery ...and btw unlimited space in my gallery )

But the best is visit the sites, the differences , for service offered , look, and intended audience are evident

I use http://www.23hq.com/, which allows unlimited number of images, but unpaid you can only upload 30 images per calendar month.

I've currently paid the £16 for this year because I'm doing one photo a day for all of 2012 and some months have more than 30 days ;)

There's other sites too of course GMS/Kevin. I recently replied to a thread concerning this very topic and linked a few including one that was mentioned here (and believe still free: Mahjhost). :)

I have DA account but never use it to upload anything. I just tried Flickr as an experiment. If it turns out to be successful I'll do something else more permanent. Thanks, An, I like that one too.
