it was much larger but i prefer to crop...



AAARGHH now i see 2 mistakes ,the render has too hard edges and i even made a error to crop the lower part...weird as mistakes pop out evident only after publishing,...

a quick correction

Good composition. I find the background really lifelike.
Actually, though they basically are abstract, those three-dimensional fractals always remind and make me think of something real, a forest or underbrush in this case.
What program(s) do you use for creating them?

Mandelbulb3d , to not confuse with Mandelbulber ,you may found at www.frcyalforums.com, (there is also a dedicated board with a sticky with the new formula (the formula are updated in the program at each release, the sticky allow to update inbetween

Gino, i forgot that M3D is for windows but run really well in Linux with wine (or Crossover) and should work also with MAC (again with a emulator...it should be explaned in detail on the forum i linked )

Thanks, PhotoComix, for the explanation.

The 3D fractal art is a field that I never considered in depth so far, and now I am really curious to start exploring its potentials.

I have only encountered some problems with the link you posted (my browser says the site doesn't exist); however, via Google Search, I think I have found the right site, which might be this (I suppose):
