I have tried to open a psd file but get the message Procedure 'file-psd-load' returned no return values. I don't think that it is a corrupt file but I can't be sure because I don't own Photoshop anymore.

Can someone open it and save it in native GIMP format so that I can edit it? Any other ideas on how to fix this?

Now that the link to the image has been fixed, I downloaded the image and also got error messages so I was unable to open it. Sorry.

Does anyone know of a converter that would allow me to change it from psd to xcf before I try opening in GIMP?

The image you've provided is 24bpp, 72x72 ppi, 406 original rgb colors with no alpha channel. With XnView or Irfanview you can convert it to lossless png and open with GIMP.

Is there more than one layer? It can be opened in LibreOffice Writer but there's only one layer. It copies into Gimp ok. The psd file seems too large (16+mb) for only one layer.

No, there's 1 layer. BTW, Xnview and Irfanview can read all psd and xcf layers but can't export as multilayer bitmap.

That file contains Photoshop nested layers, as far as I know Gimp will not handle them properly. I'm sure you want all the layers for web design. There are many graphic templates for web design around, although I don't recommend them. Look up responsive web design, that's way to go. One other thing to keep in mind is accessibility.

I see that that's not going to work. I think the image is much larger than the one that opens in LO Writer.

I have opened the psd file in Gimp 2.6.11 and it has 133 layers.
I tried to upload it as an xcf here but 6.3M is too large.
How can I share it?
I even tried to show what it looks like but was told it looked to spammy.

Wow I am blown away be the incredibly helpful responses. I have never used the free templates from that website before and the issue I had was that the "Business Solutions" logo on the upper right is provided as a graphic. Since my website won't be called "business solutions" I want to change that. I thought that the file would be just a psd of the logo. I think that it will be easier to just create a new image the same size as the old logo using the same background color and just add new text.

Here's the xcf file if you still need it. But it looks a bit off, GIMP doesn't support PSD layer styles/effects.
