You may have seen other images of the Holy Bulbs and their Brewery but this is the first of their
Sanctuary, the Cathedral of the Holy Bulbs

Obviously the Bulbs are not only the creators, they also ARE the Cathedral that is as a living collective organism there is no a real distinction

Even if ,Of course the single Bulbs remain free to go for their own errand at their wish, and they do often , but the Cathedral remain

Image

Image

it was really difficult get there, that day the Holy Bulbs were in very moody and hypersensitive,
...you never see Holy Bulbs in a bad mood ?

normally (well they are never "normal" but in a more meditative mood )

Image

but instead were

Image

a bit closer

Image

It was really scaring so scaring , all the space around trembling twisting and wrapping

So scaring that i almost mess my pant ... but that intestinal movement was as a Gift from the Goddess .

i could fruitfully assume the position of the Donor, and making the Secret Sign of Respect and evoking the Symbiotic Concordat fill the plate for the offering

That changed the mood of the Holy Bulbs , they are mostly vegetable and and they highly appreciate the Gift of fertilizer even more fresh organic human fertilizer .

That is very rare on Lysegica and so much desired and loved by the local Bulbs for its exotic flavour and for the refined and highly psychoactive effect that has on their peculiar metabolism

So after the Party (there is always a party offered to the Donor , refuse to join the Party would be a serious offence ) not only they let me pass but even indicate a old almost forgotten but very suggestive path leading at a very unusual areal view of the Cathedral...a view from a a break on the Cathedral ceiling , left intact as as Memorial of the invasion of the Mayan Troll

From that break on the Ceiling the view was already promising , and i could take a first shot

Image

But got down from there was not easy , not sure if you can sense the proportion but was hard climb down when finally i did the space was to huge to be seen as a whole i could just get details

but little by little

Glad you like i spend ,i was obsessed in the making off ...

while i was rendering i was browsing with the 3d nav zooming in and out moving, exploring different FOV , then fine tune the colours and light ,save the render ,impatient to start the new one

And before any forced break (to eat, cook , make commissions,...even go to sleep) then was also the time to try some new tweakS on the formula
you can't explore new formula in the nav when rendering...you may move zoom, change lens, far field value, use any command of the £3d nav but only those.

Shortly i was i was too fascinated by the result to stop
