Did you check the file permission ? Sometimes, on need to do

chmod a+x gmic_gimp

to make it executable.
Otherwise, try running GIMP from the command line (bash), and see if there are any error message related to G'MIC appearing.

Permissions seem to be right. No problem to launch Gimp with bash.

I don't understand...

Did you have libfftw3, libpng and zlib installed on your systems ? The plug-in depends on these dynamic libraries.
Open a console window, and try executing the plug-in directly :

$ cd PATH_TO_YOUR_PLUGIN_BINARY/
$ ./gmic_gimp

Could you tell us what it does display ?

When I tried to use the plugin directly :

Quote:
error while loading shared libraries: libpng12.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I've installed libpng12 & it works perfectly!

Thank you very much!

That's it ! :)
The method is a bit rude, but at least it shows what is going on.
