Made late last night while trying a bunch of different steps, of course didn't write anything down. Used curve bend on text and some iwarp on the top and blended some grayish blue and white

of course no effect is worth trying unless it can be applied on a paisley :). this was harder than i had hoped for, but the paisley came out okay, i think.

I tried. I followed the tutorial done in PS, but I could not follow step-by-step. So I invented a way to get something. Only when I finished, it is seen that the Esper then posted as he did. I'll try later!

akros: :wow how did you do that?! to me it looks a lot better than that ps tutorial result!
2-ton: what have you been burning there? the smoke looks almost poisonous :). i like the shape of your text, looks very smokey.
esper: :hoh i keep saying: no dark side for me! i'm a pink fluffy jedi.
no hot tips to give, but i have a slightly-more-than-lukewarm one: i used the water filter under deformation in g'mic instead of the ripple filter and i think that made smokier deformation.
he4rty: or a pipe! and captain haddock puffing on it :). thanks for commenting!

@akros...that is amazing. Would you please do us a tutorial on that?
AnMal hit the nail on the head by saying it is better than the original PS one. I can't get my smoke brushes to work that way. pleeeeeeze!
