We've set up a temporary web page, that shows how the G'MIC web page could be rendered with your own logo, so you can test different logos and look at how they will finally display on the official web page.
To use it, just put the URL of your logo image just after the 'url=' string in the address below.
And you can put the height after the 'h='.

I love that shiny look. I finally figured out what it looks like to me. It has a ribbon texture.

i agree with Odbc, the logos look very good, especially the grayscale
but i think the font is too "crazy" for the job
i mean i love the font, its edgy and futuristic, which is my kind of thing, but i think for a filter pack, something more "serious" is needed

I had some fun to play with an other outline and a lot of effects (Inkscape-Filters+ GIMP lightnings)
I think it is too much, but i like the outcome. May it is usefull for wallpapers or other things.

Looks nice Chris. Maybe too much outlines as you said (one 'drop-shadow' to remove I'd say), but still this looks really good.

Maybe adjusting the white stars and white dots, I believe it's messing with your colouring creating too much grain and contrast.

I agree about the dots. I would remove them, it makes it a bit messy. I love the rest. beautiful job.

Chris, would it be possible to have the .xcf file for your latest version of the logo (with light) ?
Mahvin seems to be interested to try adding Gmicky on it, and from what he already showed me, it looks promising.
I suppose this could be easier for him with the original .xcf file.

There is a new layer inside without that big outline.
Bitmap size is 2000 x 841 px.

I just opened the xcf and I like it best without the dots and the double line.
I also think mahvin's g'micky would look great added in to this somehow. I would hate to see this little guy forgotten.

Chris, I've put your logo on the webpage, as it seems this will be the final entry.
