Please help,,i'm still trying to know how to color with glitter or sparkle ,,this is what I'm trying to add glitter to this lady bug to a smooth glitters which is already colored in with just reg color,,,the lady bug is pink n blk n i like to add glitter to the lady bug to a smooth hitter,,please help me to know how to add glitter to the inside of the color lady bug clip art ty DEe

I created this Glitter Ball Tutorial and also used the techniques to colour this Image, but I will confess it was all done a while ago now and I'm sure some improvements could be made.

If you can please post an image of your lady bug, we could probably help you with this. You would need to make a selection (alpha to selection) to add your glitter.

That is a very sweet bear. Do you want the whole bear and the egg in glitter or just part of it. explain please. If you want just part of it, that part will have to have a selection

I like to color the bear like a smooth glitter like that color also color the ribbon light green smooth glitter,,,,so pretty much color the whole thing with glitter,,,,then after that i like to text happy easter on it with like a glitter,,,or i can just do part glitter does'nt matter i liek to learn on both part,,more i know i like to learn ty for trying to help

What I would suggest at this time is that you do a basic glitter tutorial to get the idea how it works. This is a very basic text one I did and it works the same if you are using an image instead of text.
You put your bunny on a transparent layer, then duplicate it twice if you are using a glitter with 3 layers.
If you want to do just part of the bunny you would just select that part.

open your bear in gimp > duplicate it twice > turn off top two layers > add glitter #1 to bottom layer > turn off layer and turn on layer 2 > add glitter to that layer < turn off layer 2, turn on layer 3, added glitter 3 to that layer. save as a gif and make sure you check animation.

You should have some in your patterns folder. I don't know what glitter come as default in Gimp. I downloaded most of mine.

Here are some links you can use to get yerself some glitter, download and place them in your gimp user folder.

copy and paste into your .gimp/pattern/folder Are you using windows, Linux or Mac
In windows, I believe it is something like this C:\Documents and Settings\gimp-2.XX\patterns. Put whatever gimp version you have in the place of the xx's.
