Hi All,

I wrote a new G'MIC filter for the GIMP plug-in, called 'Seamless turbulence'.
It is located in filter section 'Patterns/' and looks like this :

Image

The cool thing (as its name suggests) is it renders *seamless* patterns, so it can be repeated along the X or Y axes.
If you think this can be useful, just let me know. It was quite fun to do, but I don't see any way I can use it now for creating interesting things :)

EDIT : By the way, I forgot to tell : just refresh your filters and it should appear in section 'Patterns/' .

Thanks David.
I have to work more on it, but I think it has great potential.

Two filter layers. The green colored on top. Both blend mode value and 50% opacity.

Bonjour,

@jamac4k
I like your idea.
Do you want a filter that does this?

# David:
Thanks, I will continue doing "weird" things with the filter.

# PhotoComix:
Thanks, In the top image blur was applied because of the depth of field. No blur more like grass, but the green hue is not the luckiest.

# Samj:
Merci, While Gimp will be open source and free, my foolish ideas belong to the entire Gimp users community. I think it should be the users who could comment on the matter.

For example, following your idea, I applied Garacoder's Warp Map (5.00, 1.18, 0.71, Soft light), a bit of lights and shadows with Dogde & Burn and a bit of hue and saturation ...
