Bonjour,

These techniques do not use the plug-in "Emboss" and the results are different.

Is there an interest for this kind of thing ?

Here is my results using the filter>edge detect>sobel, duplicate two new layers for your image and on each new layer run the sobel filter but on one layer only check the horizontal box and on the other layer check the vertical box, set the top layer to grain merge then merge the two layers together. Destaurate the layer then duplicate and change mode to grain merge, keep duplicate the grain merge layer until a suitable depth is achieved, merge all layers except original colour layer, Finally move original colour layer to top of stack and also set layer mode to grain merge

Thank you Samj. I still haven't learnt how to keep my colours though.

I ran it and only came up with one layer. I started with the picture, and ran the script. Then I put a transparent layer above the original and ran the script again, and still ended up with one layer.

I want the embossed color picture like He4rty did.
I thought the script did that. I did notice his instrucs how he did it so I will try it later.

to Samj: excellent script! you are a kind of "fata turchina" for all those who love nice scripts! Thanks a lot!!!

to Sallyanne and Molly: the scripts are two, not just one: the first one which keeps the original colours (map>embossed image) and the second one which generates a single colour paper (colour>embossed paper). Try again...
